One year before Prabowo-Gibran cabinet, Palace: we are not satisfied

Jakarta – The government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has been running for almost 1 year. Is there going to be a special evaluation within the government? Minister of State Secretary (People’s Affairs) Prasetyo Hadi revealed that Prabowo did not use time as a measure. The most important thing for Prabowo, Pras said, is how far the programs go. “We don’t have a one-year benchmark, we don’t have a six-month benchmark,” Pras said on Friday (10/17/2025) in Cikini, Central Jakarta. Scroll to continue content “The measure is what the program is, whether it is implemented or not, whether there are any obstacles, if there are obstacles, how do we find a way out,” Pras continued. Pras emphasized that the government continues to work to implement programs that are beneficial to the people. Pras then said the government was not satisfied at this stage. “So there is no time limit. And frankly we feel that we are not satisfied,” he said. It is known that Prabowo and Gibran have been chosen as the winners of the 2024 presidential election. The two of them were officially inaugurated as president and vice president on October 20, 2024. The dismantling of the nomenclature of the Pras ministry also talked about dismantling or changing the nomenclature of ministries that Prabowo carried out several times during his one year in office, such as the Ministry of Hajj, which was previously organized the Ministry of Religion under the Ministry of BUM, which is now the Ministry of Religion under the N. agency. Pras rejected the idea that the change in nomenclature is a phase in which the government is still looking for strength. “In the course of the journey it is always impossible for a plan to look perfect from the beginning or to be described as perfect. So along the journey we find that, oh in this sector we need reinforcement, oh in this sector it is too big we have to downsize,” he said. Pras emphasized that basically refinements and improvements are made as time goes by. He took the example of Islamic residences, many of which apparently did not have building permits, so the government formed a special directorate to deal with this problem. “For example, we found that almost the majority of Islamic residences do not have building permits. We have been negligent all along. Well, then shouldn’t we add a special directorate to deal with Islamic residence problems from a building safety perspective?” he said. Pras wants all parties to see this materially. According to him, improvements are normal and will be made from now on in the future. “So the way of thinking is substantive, why not add it now, as if there was no planning. Why did we think from the beginning the planning was ideal, but along the way here it still needs to be improved,” he said. “As footballers, we feel that we all played well. Yes, training every day does not necessarily mean we will win, as soon as we play, it seems we have to make changes, we promise,” continued Pras. (eva/wh)
