Open your ear and listen, there was no conversation in Premier Modi-Trump from April 22 to June 16, let Jaishankar's opposition be blunt
On Wednesday (July 30, 2025) during the Monsoon session of Parliament, the Foreign Minister Sk Jaishankar delivered his speech during the continued discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha. During this, Jaishankar held between April 22 and June 16 between April 22 and June 16 between US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Foreign Minister said in the Rajya Sabha: “… I want them to open their ears and listen. There wasn’t a single phone call between President Trump and Prime Minister Modi from April 22 to June 16.” The country’s policy on the ceasefire with Pakistan made it clear, in addition, Sk Jaishankar also repeated India’s clear policy of mediation in India-Pakistan issues. He said: “Any conversation with Pakistan will only be bilateral, and if Pakistan wants to stop struggling, it will have to make a formal request by DGMO.” He said: “When the operation started to avoid, many countries were in contact with us, who wanted to know how serious the situation is and how long it will last. A formal request must be made and the request can only be made by DGMO.” Jaishankar spoke to Pakistan to stop the Indus water treaty. Apart from this, Foreign Minister Sk Jaishankar has targeted the congress in the Rajya Sabha about the decision of India to postpone the Indus water treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack. He said: “The congress part is uncomfortable with history.” Jaishankar points to the errors of the Congress regarding the Indus water treaty in the Rajya Sabha and emphasizes the importance of the agreement. He said: “India’s Indus water treaty is in many ways a unique agreement with Pakistan. I do not remember any other agreement in the world in which a country allowed its great rivers to flow to another country without any rights.” He added: “I want to remember the history of this incident. Tuesday (July 29) I heard that some people are uncomfortable with history. They want all the things of history to be forgotten. Maybe it’s not good for them, they just like to remember some good and special things.” Share this story -tags
