The Chinese company “Oppo” aims to increase the percentage of the local component in its phones manufactured in Egypt to 50% in the next phase, after it currently reached about 42%, according to Noah Ma, the company’s general manager in Egypt. Noah Ma, in an interview with Al-Sharq, on the sidelines of the company’s opening ceremony of its factory in the 10th of Ramadan City, east of Cairo, explained that the company has trained more than 150 Egyptian engineers, and currently employs about two thousand young men in its local factory, indicating that “Oppo” focuses on the quality of services and on the sales of more than the volume. the company operates more than 15 service centers in various governorates with plans for continuous expansion. He added that the company has developed a plan to increase production lines from 17 to 20 lines by 2026, and has also invested more than $30 million in its current factory, with the volume of investment rising to about $50 million by the end of next year.
