Pansda Metro Jaya forms the 'Ojol Kamtibs' community in Jakarta

Jakarta – Pansda Metro Jaya officially formed the ‘Ojol Online Ojol (Ojol) Community and Public Order (Kamtibmas)’ in Jakarta. The ‘Ojol Kamtibs’ community is a partnership for the police and Ojol drivers in Jakarta. The inauguration was held yesterday at Juanda Station, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Friday (9/26/2025), along with the launch of Mart People’s Outlets. The inauguration was attended by the Deputy Chief of the Metro Jaya Brigadier General Decananto Eko Purwono. Deananto said the presence of ‘Ojol Kamtibas’ is expected to strengthen the synergy of the national police and the community. Especially, says decananto, synergy in maintaining safety and order. Deananto emphasized that ‘Ojol Kamtibs’ is not rid of other Ojol communities formed. According to him, this community will be developed throughout the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Jurisdiction with a presidium or collective collegial management system. In addition to playing a role in maintaining safety, this community will also be a channel of pursuit of OJOL drivers, including if there is discriminatory treatment they experience. “All positions are the same, parallel between the National Police and Ojol partners,” he said. Deananto also revealed the reason why National Police took Ojol to work together. He mentioned it because of the large number of managers and their important role in social life. “In the past, Ojol was still a side job, now it has become the most important task. The number is many, and there are social problems they face. That’s why national police feel the need to work together,” he said. Decananto hopes that with the many Ojols in Jakarta it will become an extraordinary potential resource to participate in keeping Jakarta better and safer. It is hoped that this forum can later develop from the sub -district, district/city, to the provinces. The formation of these ‘Kamtibmas Ojol’ together with the inauguration of the Mart People’s Outlet by Juanda Station. The outlet is expected to become an ojol mail, as well as a cheap food distribution center, including Bulog Rice. Not only that, outlets are also being prepared as a community space for OJOL drivers to coordinate with police to maintain regional safety.
