Mumbai, October 24 (IANS). Veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s film ‘The Taj Story’ will hit the theaters soon. On Friday, the makers informed about the release date of the film through a post. He shared the poster of the film on Instagram with the caption: “Taj Mahal, Mughal architecture or Indian architecture? When the scales of justice tip against 400 years of history.” Paresh Rawal plays the lead role in the film. Zakir Hussain will be seen playing the role of villain in it. The makers had earlier released the trailer of the film. The two-minute trailer seemed to give an interesting glimpse into the film’s story, raising questions about the assumptions related to the Taj Mahal. The film will feature actor Paresh Rawal in the role of Vishnu Das, who vows to uncover the truth behind the Taj Mahal. The trailer opens with the Hindu guide (Paresh Rawal) calling the Taj Mahal his temple, after which tourists question him whether the monument is actually a mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan or an ancient temple. Matters take a turn for the worse when the dispute reaches court, where Rawal demands an investigation of the monument to get accurate information about it. Zakir Hussain plays the role of the villain in the film, who will be seen questioning the views of Paresh Rawal’s character. At the same time, heated debates and tension will be seen in many scenes. Apart from Paresh and Zakir, Amrita Khanvilkar, Sneha Wagh and Namit Das will also be seen in important roles in the film. The film offers a new take on the long-running debate over the history and architecture of the Taj Mahal. The film will be released in theaters on October 31. –INS NS/ABM Share this story Tags
