Participants of the IPB Patriot Expedition team disappear, Ministry of Transcendence expresses condolences
Jakarta – The Ministry of Transmigration expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of Anggit Bima Wicaksana, an IPB student participating in the Patriot Expedition Team (TEP) program. Anggit died on Tuesday (21/10) in a traffic accident in Tomage, Fakfak Regency, West Papua. Meanwhile, Anggit is a student at the Faculty of Agriculture, IPB Land Resource Management study program class 58/2021. He died while performing community service duties in the evaluation of transmigration areas in Bomberey, Fakfak Regency. Currently, the Ministry of Transmigration has stated that it is making maximum efforts to ensure that the bodies of the deceased can be returned to the funeral home as quickly as possible. This is not only a loss for the family left behind, but also for the entire extended family of the Ministry of Transmigration,” the Minister of Transmigration, M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, said in a written statement on Tuesday (22215). In this sad atmosphere, Iftitah said that his party was fully responsible for repatriating the body of the deceased and accompanying the family until the whole process was completed. “Since we received the sad news, our team in Fakfak together with the local Transmigration Service and related officials immediately moved quickly to carry out the post-mortem process and prepare to repatriate the body. Currently, we are mobilizing all our resources and efforts so that the body can arrive at the funeral home as quickly as possible,” Iftitah continued. Iftitah emphasized that his party continues to coordinate with various parties to speed up the repatriation process. This includes other Patriot expedition team members, local regional governments, the Ministry of Transport, the Indonesian Air Force and airlines. “We want to ensure that the deceased Anggit’s body can be received by her parents immediately. Furthermore, the Ministry of Transmigration will take care and ensure that the funeral procession goes as well as possible as a final form of respect for her dedication and service,” he said. All levels of the Ministry of Transmigration also prayed for the late Anggit to get the best place next to God Almighty.
