Four people, including a teenage girl, are missing in Bakhtiyarpur, while a teenager died due to drowning in Mokama. SDRF teams are conducting search operations. On Sunday, half a dozen people drowned while bathing at different Ganga ghats in the area, of which two survived, while four, including a teenage girl, drowned. Remove Advertisement Only Read News According to the information, three people who came for bathing from the big hill of Sohsarai Police Station of Bihar Sharif during the festival season at Seedhi Ghat started drowning, out of which one was rescued, while Sujit Kumar (25) and Sudhir Kumar (28) drowned in deep water. The police administration deployed SDRF team in the search but did not succeed till late evening. Meanwhile, a family consisting of a boy and a teenage girl drowned while bathing in the Ganga near Champapur Sun Temple, while the third one was rescued after much effort. As soon as the information was received, CO Niranjan Suman, Police Station Head Devanand Sharma reached the spot. Based on information received from Chief Representative Sunil Kumar and villagers, the SDRF team engaged in search operations in Seedhi Ghat here was deployed but did not achieve success till evening. The drowned teenager has been identified as Amrita, 12 years old, daughter of Sakaldev Cobbler and the teenager has been identified as Prince Kumar, 9 years old, son of Dilip Mochi. People present at the ghat told that all three came to bathe in the Ganga during the puja and immersion. After two incidents took place in one day, the villagers again asked the administration for regular presence of the SDRF team. Two friends drowned in Ganga in Mokama, one died. At the same time, a child died by drowning. There was chaos in the town after this accident. On Sunday morning, a total of six people, including four friends and two girls, residents of ward number one of the town, took a bath in the Ganga. While bathing, the friends planned to cross the river and take bath in Badi Ganga. People told that three friends crossed the river Ganga by swimming. Ten-year-old Rajveer Kumar drowned while crossing the river Ganga. Seeing his friend drowning, Mayank Kumar jumped into the river Ganga and started drowning himself. The sailors who were watching this accident immediately saved Gautam Rai’s son Mayank from drowning, but Uday Rai’s son Rajveer drowned. After this accident, the villagers managed to recover the body in the evening after much searching. The Mokama police sent the body to Barh for postmortem. Villagers told that Uday Rai’s eldest son, Aniket, also died in a road accident two years ago. After the death of Rajveer, both the sons of Uday Rai died. After the accident there is chaos in the whole town.
