Patna Water Metro’s path opened, an agreement with the Interior Waterways Authority of India

Patna, September 20 (IANS). People from Bihar can soon enjoy water metro. An important sleeve (sleeve) was signed between the Department of Tourism, the Government of Bihar and the Indian Inland Waterways Authority to introduce water metro service in Patna. It is said that its purpose is to develop and promote tourism -friendly urban water transport system in Patna City, which will provide safe, environmentally friendly and modern transport options to citizens. In a press release issued by the Bihar Tourism section, it is said that this important letter of settlement was signed in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. In terms of this project, vessels such as the state -of -the -Art -Electric Katamran vessel ‘mv nishadraj’ operate, which can run in both battery and hybrid modes. This vessel will not only ensure zero carbon emissions, but also have a capacity of about 100 passengers, including two wheelchair users. In this, fully air -conditioned and comfortable facilities are provided for the passengers. It was reported that a grand ceremony hero in Bhavnagar, Gujarat was signed by Union Minister Sarbanand Sonowal and Mansukh Mandviya for the development of Urban Water Metro Project at a cost of Rs 908 Crore, Sunil Kumar Singh, Chairman of Iwai and Nand Kishore, Managing director of Bihar Tourism Development Corporation on Behalf of Iwai Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh and Tourism Section. Bihar Tourism Minister Raju Kumar Singh said this project would be helpful in promoting tourism in Patna City. This is a great achievement in the urban transport sector, which will give a new smart, safe and sustainable travel facility of tourism to the citizens and tourists of Patna through waterways. Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh informed that the Water Metro under the Urban Water Metro project from Diamha Ghat to Kangan Ghat in Patna. It will open from Central Water Metro Dighha Tourism Ghat to Nit Ghat and Gaighat to Kangan Ghat. It will be tried from Patna soon. He informed that another ten places should be identified in the future, which is expected to change the city’s water tourism system and reduce pollution and travel time. This initiative also gives a new direction to tourism and local development.
