Pdbdi secretary inspected in haridwar will be roads by October 31
Haridwar, October 4 (IANS). On the instructions of the Uttarakhand -Head Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Department of Public Works (PDBD), Pankaj Pandey, reached on Saturday Haridwar to review the progress of the pit -free roads offered across the state. Pankaj Pandey, secretary of PDBDI, said during a media interaction that several roads in Haridwar, Luxor and Roorkee areas were on the spot and carefully checked the ongoing works. During this time, the secretary gave clear instructions to the officers that all the roads of the state should be pit -free by October 31. Secretary Pankaj Pandey said roads are directly linked to the ease and safety of the ordinary man, and therefore no negligence will be tolerated in road construction and repairs. He also spoke to the locals and heard their problems and assured that it would be resolved at a time. During the inspection, the secretary emphasized the immediate completion of incomplete works and instructed officials to restore the roads on priority base. He especially mentions the areas where the roads were damaged after lying the pipeline under the water life mission. Pandey said repairs in these areas will be completed soon so that people can get relief from the problems with traffic. The secretary has made it clear that the state government is aimed at providing easy and safe traffic facilities to people in every region of Uttarakhand. For this, it is compulsory to complete all the work of the Pit Free Road campaign within the set timeframe.
