The leopard came out in search of hunting in the Vidhipur village Gajraula area and went to the population and killed a farmer’s buffalo. The latest incident is from the Vidhipur village of the Gajraula police station, where the leopard suddenly came out of the sugarcane field and entered the town. The village farmer Pappu called the laborers by tying his buffalo on the banks of Chakrod. Then the leopard broke directly from the sugarcane field on its buffalo. The leopard caught the buffalo’s neck and pulled it about 200 meters away. After a while, when the farmer returned, he saw blood stains and collected the residents by making noise. The villagers reached the place as soon as the residents received information about panic, the incident of the Forest Department. People immediately notified the forest section. The forest division reached the town and investigated the entire incident. Officials said the leopard has been returning to the forest, but that patrol and supervision in the provident area have been increased. Pilibhit district is considered a stronghold of tigers. Here, a large number of tigers and leopards are found in the terai and forests. Experts believe that leopards leave the forest due to constant increase in tigers and turn to human settlements in search of hunting. This is why incidents of conflict between humans and wild animals often emerge. People from Vidyapur Village and surrounding areas are afraid of this incident. Villagers say there is always a danger to the appearance of leopard in fields and paths. People are afraid to work in the field or get out of homes at night. The safety of children and cattle has now become the greatest concern. The forest division called on the residents not to be careful and not go to the fields alone.
