PKB supports Prabowo in eradicating corruption, appreciates the work of the AGO-Polri-KPK
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has asked law enforcers to crack down on corruption cases without anyone being above the law. Vice Chairman of Commission III DPR Rano Alfath assessed that Prabowo’s statement shows the government’s serious commitment to the maintenance of justice. “Yes, first of all, we at Commission III certainly appreciate President Prabowo Subianto’s firmness. His statement that no party is above the law, no longer untouchable, is a strong message that the current government is really serious about maintaining justice without discrimination,” Rano told reporters, Wednesday (22/10/2025). The Deputy General Chairman (Waketum) of the PKB DPP sees Prabowo’s commitment reflected in various steps throughout the year of government, such as the control of state assets worth hundreds of trillions of rupiah to act firmly against corrupt practices at various levels of government and BUMN. Rano said that the National Police under the leadership of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has shown consistent law enforcement without discrimination. “We give the highest appreciation to the ranks of the National Police, who, under the leadership of the National Police Chief, have shown firmness and consistency in applying the law without discrimination. The National Police has been able to demonstrate its commitment that law enforcement knows no exceptions, while still maintaining a sense of justice in society,” says Rano. This PKB politician appreciates that the Attorney General’s office has played an active role in returning state assets in prosecuting corruption cases. Rano brought up the AGO’s recent move to return state losses from the CPO corruption case amounting to IDR 13 trillion to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. “This achievement shows that the prosecutor’s office is not only focused on taking action, but also on ensuring that recovery of state losses is effective and transparent,” he said. According to Rano, the corruption eradication committee also acted independently and with integrity to eradicate corruption. He assessed that the Corruption Eradication Committee continues to improve coordination with other law enforcement agencies. “The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) is increasingly strengthening coordination with other APHs, increasing the effectiveness of prevention through anti-corruption monitoring and education systems, and remaining firm in prosecuting major cases that are in the public spotlight,” he said. Still, Rano reminded law enforcement agencies not to be complacent about these achievements. He stressed that Commission III of the DPR will continue to oversee these legal institutions. “However, of course we also want to remind you that this enthusiasm does not stop here. Do not be complacent. Commission III will continue to encourage every law enforcement agency to maintain professionalism, strengthen coordination between agencies, and ensure that every legal action is carried out with the principles of justice and accountability,” said Rano. “We are confident that with the President’s strong commitment, supported by APH’s hard work in the field and consistent supervision of the DPR, in the future law enforcement in Indonesia will be stronger, fairer and more trusted by the public,” he concluded.
