Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom, Jr., Ben Platt, and Rachel Zegler will perform a tribute to Stephen Sondheim.

The 64th annual Grammy Awards will be held on April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. The ceremony is broadcast live on CBS from 20:00 ET (see local lists).
Among the events planned for the ceremony is a special tribute performance to the pioneers of Broadway composer Stephen Sondheimwhich passed away last year. Broadway favorites Cynthia erivoLeslie Odom, Jr., and and Bindand West Side Story Star Rachel Zegler is one of those who will appear in the tribute.
The Grammy for Best Musical Theater album is also handed out. Broadway’s nominated for the honor is Broadway Girl from the Northern Land, Andrew Lloyd Webber‘ Cinderella (currently playing the West End in London), the world premiere recording of Burt Bacharach and Steven Saturday‘ Some lovers, Les Miserables: The Staged Concert, Stephen Schwartz‘ Photosand the The non -official Bridgerton -Musicly By Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear. The composers and lyrics of the new scores, along with the producers, were included in the nominations.
Additional nominees from the theater world include the soundtracks for In the highs, dear Evan Hansenand the Schmigadoon! pilot (in the category of Best Compilation soundtrack for visual media) and David Byrne’s American Utopia For the best music film.
The best song written for visual media category is full of theater names this year, including Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for “Agatha all the time” of Wandavision, Carole King and Jennifer Hudson for “Here I am (sing my way home)” of RespectLeslie Odom, jr. And Sam Ashworth for “Talk now” of One night in miamiand Pasture and Justin Paul For “all I know so far” of P! NK: All I know so far (They share the nomination with the pop star).
Elsewhere, Tony Bennett and Lady gaga‘S’ I get a kick out of you ‘, from Cole Porter’s regular-reviewed musical Anything is goingreceived a nod to Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group performance and best music video. The song comes from Love for salenominated for the best album of the year and the best traditional pop vocal album. The couple performed a direct concert in celebration of their new collaboration in Radio City Music Hall. Plus, Tony-win Moulin Rouge! The musical co-orchestrator Charlie Rosen was nominated (with Jake Silverman) in the best arrangement, instrumental or a cappella for ‘Meta Knight’s revenge’ of Kirby SuperStar.
