PM Modi spoke in IMC; This is the best time for investment, innovation and 'make in India'

New -delhi, October 8 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday emphasized the opportunities in the country’s manufacturing, technology and digital infrastructure, saying it is the best time for investment, innovation and ‘make in India’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 that India is ready to face global challenges and to become a key player in emerging sectors such as semiconductors, mobile manufacturing and data security. Prime Minister Modi said that any disruption in the global supply chain provides an opportunity for India to come forward and provide solutions. The Prime Minister said: “To strengthen the country’s semiconductor capacity, the government of India is working to set up ten semiconductor manufacturing units.” The prime minister, which encourages further development in the fields of chips and other mobile devices, said that as the world generates large amounts of data, the importance of data storage and data sovereignty will only increase. Prime Minister Modi said: “India has the potential to become a global data center because of its strong digital connection and affordable data, with 1 GB costing less than a cup of tea.” The prime minister said that digital connectivity is not a privilege or a luxury in the world of today, but a necessity. Prime Minister Modi credited India’s democratic system, did the prospects and ease of business to make the country an investor -friendly destination. The prime minister further said that the innovators and industries of India have a great responsibility and that startups will play a major role in promoting growth, innovation and global competitiveness. “From manufacturing to electronics and semiconductors, India has ample opportunity and energy to lead in the global technology landscape,” the prime minister said. Prime Minister Modi said the country is pursuing reforms, making it an ideal time for investment, innovation and building a strong, self -sufficient India. –IANS ABS/
