Police in Delhi Busts gang selling fake cigarettes arrested accused

New -delhi, October 13 (IANS). The eastern Range-I-Crime Branch of the Delhi police have a large gang of four traders involved in the sale of forged and forbidden cigarettes. During this action, police banned about 2.40 false repair and banned cigarettes. On October 9, the eastern Range-I-Crime Branch from Delhi Police received information from an informant that some people came to sell illegal cigarettes. Based on the information, a team of crime branch led by the inspector Lichhman and Si Jitendra led by ACP Sunil Srivastava performed an attack in Nilothi expansion, Delhi. During the attack, Pawan Gupta and Dilip Yadav were caught with a pace with 14 cartons of false ITC gold cigarettes. During the investigation, approximately 1.6 lakh cigarettes were found in the cardboard. After this, the representative of M/S ITC Limited confirmed that it was false. Based on the interrogation of Pawan Gupta and Dilip Yadav, two more accused, Parveen Singh and Puneet Gupta, of Chander Vihar Chowk were arrested. There was an eco -wagon with 8 cartons of ESSE lights, containing 80,000 cigarettes. These cigarettes did not wear statutory health warnings and were found to have been falsified, including forged ‘Gold Flake’ and ‘Esse Lights’. During interrogation, the accused said that this gang took large consignments from local places such as Nilothi and then divided it into small packages and sold it through street vendors in markets and near metrostations. The police officer said they were being questioned. Now is the search for their entire gang. A police team is also formed for this.
