Bandung – The police confirmed that the Pajero driver in Bandung who used a strobe installed a fake police service plate. The police are now investigating the driver’s motive for using false plates. “It was said that the National Police license plate was printed randomly, maybe it was a member of the public, but we are investigating it. It has not been disclosed in detail, it is still under investigation,” Tasikmalaya City Police Chief AKBP Moch Faruk Rozi was quoted by detikJabar, Sunday (19/10/2025). Faruk said the driver with the initials AR (37) was arrested, while the car owner with the initials I was a resident of Tasikmalaya. He said the fake service plates have been removed. Scroll to continue content “For the strobe, the number plate and siren have been removed. We have fixed the number plate so that it is no longer used,” said Faruk. Currently, AR is still undergoing investigation at the Tasikmalaya City Police Headquarters. AR also made a video explaining or apologizing for the incident. “He also made a video in which he apologizes to the public and the National Police establishment for using a number plate that was not intended,” said Faruk.
