Poorly deserving students will receive free coaching for Neet exam in RIMS, the largest medical college of Jharkhand.
Ranchi, October 9 (IANS). Now free coaching for medical admission exam (NEET) will be started for poor and bright students in Jharkhand’s largest medical college (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences). The decision was made at the RIMS Control Council meeting held Thursday under the chairmanship of Health Minister Irfan Ansari. It was decided at the meeting that MBBS first and second year Topper students from RIMS 30 will learn poorly deserving students who have been selected from all over the state in this coaching center. Classes last four days a week. MBBS toppers taught in this coaching center receive an incentive of Rs 2500 per hour. Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari calls an important step to open the doors of medical education for poor and bright students of the state. It was also decided at the RIMS Management Council meeting that MBBS doctors who do internship will now receive a scholarship of Rs 30,000 per month. This step was taken in accordance with the AIIMS model, and its purpose is to provide financial support to internal doctors and improve the quality of education. According to another important decision made at the meeting, the immediate financial assistance of Rs 5,000 in the case of a patient during the treatment on RIMS will be given by UPI to the family of the deceased, so that they can get help in the last ritual. Apart from this, arrangements will be made to transport the body to any part of the state for free through the air -conditioned Moksha vehicle. The annual expenses to this scheme will be about Rs 7 crore. Health Minister Irfan Ansari said that Jharkhand became the first state in the country to implement such a humanitarian scheme.
