We are committed to advancing our strategic partnership with South Africa,” Prabowo said. President Ramaphosa previously asked Prabowo during a bilateral meeting to send a delegation. It is to see opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. “We want to encourage you to, as you said in our bilateral meeting, instruct ministers to come to South Africa to see what opportunities there are,” he said. The same happened to him who came to Indonesia to discuss more concrete cooperation opportunities. “Similarly, our presence here should also lead to that. We therefore want to see a mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries, because we have a lot in common,” he said. President Ramaphosa revealed that Indonesia and South Africa have similarities in social issues. The challenges faced are similar, namely jobs to poverty. “More importantly, we must have a lot in common to eliminate the challenges that our people face, challenges such as lack of work, poverty and inequality. These are the challenges that we must overcome,” he said. “And we hope that as we overcome that, we maintain strong participation of people who are marginalized from the economy. And by participation, I mean significant ways in which they can participate,” he continued.
