Prabowo's Message in front of 'Mountain' Rp. 13 T Confiscated by the prosecutor's office

Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto saw firsthand the ‘mountains’ of money worth IDR 13 trillion that the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) managed to return to the state. Prabowo gave a number of messages in front of the mountain. The mountain of money worth IDR 13 trillion is a substitute for government losses in a corruption case that provides export facilities for crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivatives for the 2021-2022 period. To be exact, the money was worth IDR 13,255,244,538,149. The handover of the money was carried out by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa at the AGO main building on Monday (20/10/2025). The money represents state losses of the alleged Wilmar Group corporations, namely PT Multimas Nabati Asahan, PT Multi Nabati Sulawesi, PT Sinar Alam Permai, PT Wilmar Bioenergi Indonesia, and PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia. Prabowo said the success of the attorney general’s office in confiscating trillions of money in this country was a good sign in the first year of his administration. This is proof that the prosecutor’s office continues to work hard to save state wealth. “It just so happened that I was inaugurated as president one year later. So I feel that this is a good sign on the first day of the year, I saw that the prosecutor’s office as part of the Indonesian government, shows and proves to the people hard work, continuous work, brave work, so that it can help the country save its wealth,” said Prabowo. The money seized, says Prabowo, will be used to help the community. Like renovating thousands of schools. “With this Rp. 13 T, we can repair and renovate more than 8,000 schools,” he said. Apart from that, Prabowo will also award other programmes, namely to fishing villages. “The plan is that we will establish 1,100 fishing villages by the end of 2026. The budget for each village is IDR 22 billion. So with this IDR 13 trillion, we can build 600 fishing villages,” Prabowo continued. Prabowo said that 1 fishing village can be filled with 2,000 families. If you count your children and women together, one fishing village is filled with 5,000 people. “If you multiply that by a thousand (target for fishing villages in 2026), that’s 5 million Indonesians who can live a decent life,” he continued. Prabowo’s message to the prosecutor’s office In his speech, Prabowo also gave a message to Adhyaksa personnel not to carry out criminalization, regardless of their motivation. Prabowo said the AGO institution is one of the institutions that must also correct itself. “We do not want to look for problems, I constantly remind the prosecutor’s office and the police, do not criminalize something that does not exist, for whatever motivation,” Prabowo said on Monday (10/20/2025) at the main building of the Attorney General’s Office, South Jakarta. “I am reminding you of this because the prosecutor’s office is also an institution that must also correct itself,” he added. Prabowo admitted that he had received reports from regional prosecutors about someone carrying out improper practices. Prabowo warned that prosecutors should not play around with cases, especially against small people. “Among the prosecutors in the area that I received reports about, we all feel that there are also those who carry out practices that may not be right or not right, do not seek cases, especially against small people. For small people, weak people already have very difficult lives, do not make it worse by looking for things that do not need to be looked for,” he said. Prabowo then told the case of a primary school child who was arrested for stealing chickens. Prabowo said the arrest of minor primary school children was unreasonable. “I remember a few moments ago, I clearly remember that a minor primary school student was arrested for stealing chickens. I remember correctly. It doesn’t make sense. Judges, prosecutors, what’s going on, you certainly remember that incident,” Prabowo said. “There were other women caught stealing trees, maybe you remember that incident too, what’s going on? Law enforcement needs to have a heart,” he added. Prabowo warned law enforcement officers to “not be blunt up and sharp down” when enforcing the law. Prabowo said, small people must be defended and helped. “Don’t use the term blunt, sharp, it’s unfair, it’s angry, evil. Small people, weak people, must be defended, must be helped. If necessary, the judge, the prosecutor, the police use their own money, change the money, the child is helped. I call the child to Hambalang, I give him a scholarship,” said Prabowol. (eva/deck)
