Pramono says the stray rate in Jakarta is quite high, asks Kadinkes to lower it

Jakarta – DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that the stunting rate in Jakarta is quite high. He asked the head of the DKI Jakarta Health Service (Kadinkes), Ani Ruspitawati, to reduce the stunting rate. This was conveyed by Pramono during the inauguration of the Utama Sensory Land Kids line in East Jakarta, Saturday (18/10/2025). Initially, Pramono said in his speech that he would expand some child development facilities, especially for children with special needs. “Children like this should have a home full of joy and happiness anywhere. Jakarta should facilitate that,” Pramono said. Because a place like this was not founded in an easy way, but full of love,” he said. Pramono also immediately asked the relevant agencies to expand the concept of facilities like Sensory Land to other areas. Because currently, he said, there are only two sensory centers in Jakarta. “I told the department head, please in Jakarta there should be another place, not only here,” he said. According to him, technological developments such as gadgets also affect children’s sensory development, so that therapy and stimulation rooms become an increasingly urgent need. “This requires serious attention from all of us. Hopefully, Jakarta will truly become part of the ideals of the founders of Sensory Land,” he added. Pramono then highlighted the challenges in the child health sector, one of which is stunting, which has quite high rates in Jakarta. He asked DKI Kadinkes Ani Ruspitawati to reduce the stunting rate. “Currently, stunting in Jakarta is still quite high, even though it is below the national level. I ask the Head of Service and staff to reduce it significantly,” he added. (clock/deck)
