Prashant Kishore named former BJP -LP Uday Singh as the first national president of the Jan Suraj party

The founder of Jan Suraj Party, Prashant Kishore, announced on Monday that former BJP parliamentary Uday Singh, also known as Pappu Singh, was unanimously elected to the first national president of the party. Kishore said at a press conference in Patna that the decision was made by a core committee compiled to choose the leadership of the party. He emphasized that Singh’s appointment not only held on the basis of majority, but unanimous. Singh, who was a two -time LP of Purnia, left the BJP in 2019 and joined the congress and later supported the independent candidate Pappu Yadav in the Sabha election in 2024. Singh, who is known for his logical support for the party, was the basis for Kishore and his team in Patna. The ‘Vanity of’ Kishore used during his protest march in Gandhi Maidan was also allegedly provided by Singh. Kishore, who said he would take no formal post in the party, said the appointment would resume him from Tuesday in Bihar. The Jan Suraj party, founded on October 2 last year, is still without any full -time president. Kishore initially nominated former IPS officer Manoj Bharti as the ‘executive chair’, but Singh’s choice is an important step in the party’s organizational structure. Share this story -tags
