Old man responsible for the death of Village Head in Sahibganj, beaten to death

Sahibganj, September 21 (IANS). A 60-year-old man from the primitive Pahadia tribal community was brutally beaten by a 60-year-old man from a witchcraft in the anti-Pahar police station in the Sahibganic district of Jharkhand. The incident happened late Saturday night in the Telotok village Bada Durgapur Panchayat. The deceased was identified as Guhiya Pahadia. Police recovered the body on Sunday and sent it to the postmortem. So far, two accused have been arrested in the case. According to eyewitnesses, residents tied Guhiya Pahadia to a tree on the village square and beat them badly with sticks. He died on the spot for serious injuries. The wife of the deceased, Chandi Paharin, and daughter Sonali Paharin claimed that the murder of the murder was hatched by the family of the former head of the town. He said that the village chief recently died and that Guhiya Pahadia is accused of witchcraft. According to police, Guhiya Pahadia made offensive remarks about the death of the former head of the town. In doing so, the family members together with other residents targeted them. Rajmahal sub -divisional police officer Vimlesh Kumar Tripathi said the old man was tied to a tree and beaten and killed him on the spot. After receiving information about the incident, the policy team reached the place and performed a RAID operation. A fir was submitted on the declaration of the woman of the deceased. Police arrested two main accused Paul Malto and Sushil Malto and jailed them. Officials say the search for other accused is underway and they will be arrested soon.
