Pretense of Escort, Thug Palak Truck Driver Rp. 100 Thousand arrested in Bogor

Bogor – A video showing a man suspected to be a thug attacking a truck driver in Ciseeng, Bogor, West Java has gone viral on social media. The police moved and arrested the offender. “The Gunungsindur police quickly followed up on information circulating on social media about alleged robberies against truck drivers, and moved quickly to check and arrest the perpetrator,” Gunungsindur police chief AKP Rudi Hartono said via Bogor Police Public Relations Ipda Hamzah, Sunday (19/10/2025). The offender with the initials RH (28) was arrested at his home on Saturday (18/10). “After a search was carried out, officers succeeded in arresting the alleged perpetrator, along with evidence in the form of video recordings that circulated on social media for further investigation,” says Rudi. In the viral video seen, a man is seen sitting next to the driver asking for money and even offering escort services. This man, who was suspected to be a thug, seemed pushy because the driver was only willing to give him IDR 20 thousand. In the viral video, the man suspected to be a thug still asks the driver for IDR 100 thousand. At the end of the video, the driver gives Rp. 50 thousand and the money is accepted by the man suspected of being a thug. (sol/idn)
