India performed record vehicles in FY 2024-25
New -Delhi, April 20 (IANS). India’s export of motor vehicles rose 19 percent to 53 lakh units in an annual base in FY 2024-25, showing the growing potential of the country’s car sector. Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have the car and SUV exports at the top. At the same time, Bajaj Auto, TVs and Honda motorcycle and scooters were at the top of the two -wheelers exports. According to the data released by the Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam), India’s total vehicle exports reached 53,63,089 units during 2024-25, which is more than 45,00,494 units of the previous financial year. The shipping of passenger vehicles from India increased to 7,70,364 units in FY 2024-25, which was 6,72,105 units in FY 2023-24. Siam said it was the best annual achievement ever. The reason for this was to increase the demand for models made in India in the global markets. The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki also started exporting its off -road vehicle (SUV) Jimny to Japan. Mexico, Australia and South Africa are currently the top three export markets for this car. This is the second SUV to Bronks that Maruti Suzuki is performing to his promoter business (Suzuki Motor Corporation). The company imports the Fronx CUV to Japan from its Gujarat plant, whose consignment is sent from the state of the state of the state. In addition, the performance of Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) was strong. The company exported 1,58,686 vehicles over the past financial year. The best export markets of the company include Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile and Peru. On a cumulative basis, the company has so far exported 1.5 million units Hyundai i10 and 5.00,000 units of Hyundai Varna. According to Siam data, exports of two-wheelers have increased by 21 percent to 41,98,403 units in the past financial year, compared to 34,58,416 units in FY 2023-24. In addition, the export of three-wheelers increased by 2 percent in FY 2024-25 compared to FY 2023-24, with 3,10,000 units executed.
