Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will increase the revenue of farmers, beneficiaries have praised the central government.

New -delhi, October 11 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Agricultural Projects worth Rs 42,000 crore on Saturday at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) Pusa in New Delhi. Farmers from different parts of the country praise the schemes. Some of the agricultural projects launched by the central government are the most important ‘Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’ worth Rs 24,000 Crore and ‘Pulse Self-Reliance Campaign’ worth Rs 11.440 Crore. The scheme will benefit 1.7 crore farmers by targeting 100 low-productivity districts, where the emphasis will be on crop diversification, irrigation, storage, credit and modern technology. Hundreds of farmers met on the Bihar Agricultural University (Bau) campus in Bhagalpur district after watching the direct broadcast of the program. He praised the vision of the prime minister and called the scheme the ‘true light of Diwali’. The local farmer Pulkit Yadav told Ians: “The vision of prime minister Sahib is in the interests of farmers. The Dhan-Dhanya Yojana will double our income and reduce our dependence on importing pulses.” Chandan Kumar said: “Our crops will be strengthened by the new agricultural technology and pulses mission. Thank you for encouraging us.” Nikhil Anand, Arjun Yadav, Rishi Muni and Chinmay Sibesh said the scheme will increase irrigation and storage facilities, making it easier for small farmers to access the market. He said: “This scheme will not only bring pulses, but also the total agricultural revolution.” Farmers expressed happiness after watching the broadcast of the program in the Gopeshwar district Panchayat Auditorium of Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Rajesh Kumar said: “The government is constantly working in the interests of farmers. Crop diversification is possible in the hilly areas by the Dhan grains and Pulse mission.” Another farmer said: “The scheme will increase revenue, improve productivity and adopt modern technology. PM Modi wants to empower farmers.” Farmers of Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur also praised the central scheme.
