Beijing, October 12 (IANS). Mozambique’s Prime Minister Maria Befinda Delfina Levy and the president of Iceland, Halla Tomasdottir, reached China’s capital Beijing on October 11. She will participate in the World Wide Women’s Council held in Beijing. Let us tell you that there is a traditional friendship between the women of China and Mozambique. In the last 70s, the All-China Women’s Association provided great help to the Mozambique Women’s Organization. The Beijing World Women’s Conference held in 1995 promoted women’s work in Mozambique. After that in the year 2019, the tropical cyclone idai hit Mozambique, which did great damage. China worked with Unfa through the Fund for Global Development and South-South Co-operation and provided medical assistance to Mozambian women and girls affected by Idai. At the same time, women from China and Iceland play increasingly important roles in the construction and social development of their countries. For many years, friendly relations have been maintained between the women’s communities of the two countries. There is a rapid development of friendly relations between the All-China Women’s Association and the Icelandic Female Organization, which plays an important role in the friendship of China-ITS.
