Kathmandu, September 14 (IANS). Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki formally took over on Sunday. Once he held office, he announced the status of ‘martyr’ to those who died during the Gen-G movement and compensation of Rs 10 lakh to their dependents. President Ramchandra Paudel took the oath to former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the interim prime minister of the country on Friday after the excitement against corruption and ban on social media. Sushila Karki took two days after the curse of the lead. She launched her tenure by paying tribute to the Shaheed Memorial in Lanchur on Sunday morning, after which she went to the Singh Durbar. He began dismissing his official duties from the construction of the Interior Ministry, as the main campus was damaged by violent protests and arson last Tuesday. The prime minister’s office was then transferred. Once he took the lead, Prime Minister Sushila Karki immediately relieved the victims of violent protests in Nepal. General Secretary Eknarayan Aryal said that those who were killed during the protests would be considered ‘martyrs’ and that their families would receive financial help from Rs 10 Lakh. According to Kathmandu Post report, the government announced medical treatment of 134 injured protesters and 57 injured policemen. According to the Himalayan time report, the ministries were instructed to prepare a detailed description of the damage during the protests. According to local media reports, 72 people have lost their lives in protests in Nepal, including 59 protesters, 10 prisoners and three police officers. President Paudel addressed the country on Saturday. He called on all parties to work together to keep the election to the House of Representatives held on March 5 next year. His remarks come amid the increasing criticism of major political parties following the decomposition of the lower house at midnight Friday midnight. The move is generally seen as one of the most important demands of the Gen-G movement. The protesters said that the current parliament is plunged into corruption and is unable to make real reforms. The lower house was dissolved, which implements the recommendation of Karki. President Paudel described it as an essential step in protecting the Constitution, the parliamentary system and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. -Ians vc/abm
