A 69-year-old woman was shot and killed by state police in New York early Saturday after allegedly pointing a weapon at officers during a domestic dispute over Forrest Drive. The woman, who allegedly stabbed a man to death, died of her injuries after being transported to the hospital. (Getty Images/Istockphoto) (HT_PRINT) A 69-year-old woman was shot and killed by New York State Police Early Saturday morning (April 12) after allegedly pointing a weapon at officers during a response to a domestic dispute over Forrest Drive in Upstate New York. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released in public, was pronounced dead after being transported to Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. Domestic dispute leads to shooting at about 2:30 a.m., state police responded to a reported domestic disorder in a residence on Forrest Drive. Upon their arrival, they encountered an injured man on the front porch stating that the woman had a knife and a gun. The man claimed that the woman stabbed him in the stomach during an argument. Troopers fired at the woman after the threat of the state police news release, shortly after the man’s statement, the woman left the house and showed what a black handgun was with the officers. Two troops then shot at the woman and hit her. “Troopers tried to provide immediate medical help and asked EMS,” the release states. The woman dies of injuries. The woman was transported to Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, but later died of her injuries.
