The police gave this information in a statement on Thursday. “In a major blow to the terror network operating in Jammu and Kashmir, District Police Reasi under the supervision of SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh seized the assets of Pakistan-based terrorist operative Mohammad Sharif Mirasi, son of Ghulam Mohammad, originally a resident of Sildhar Mahor,” the statement said. According to the police, Sharif Mirasi joined terrorist organizations in 2000 and fled to Pakistan in 2010 to acquire arms, ammunition and training with the aim of waging a war against India. He initially joined Hizbul Mujahideen but later joined the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and started actively promoting cross-border terrorism. The police further said, “In this decisive action, 3 Kanal and 6 Marla land falling under Khasra No. 138 and 150 at Sildhar Mahore were seized under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P)A).
