Residents were seen trying to hit public transport to avoid the flow. Some motorists still dare to cross the fast current. Police advised vehicles to turn around. “The Sector Police Chief together with supervisors and staff were already on the spot. We appealed to road users to turn back via another road, as the flood currents were quite strong,” Made told journalists on Friday (17/10). Flooding occurred due to landslides on the edge of the road. “There were no injuries or deaths,” he said. As of 21.30 WIB, traffic was still unable to pass due to the rather heavy flood currents.
