Pusako asks Prabowo to fix KPK’s TWK: He has no past liabilities

Jakarta – The Center for Constitutional Studies, Faculty of Law, Andalas University (Pusako Unand) supports the struggle of former KPK employees who failed the National Insight Test (NAT) to return to the KPK. Pusako believes that the government must correct past mistakes regarding TWK. “I support the struggle of these friends and it must be fought for. And of course the struggle for rights is timeless,” Pusako director Charles Simabura told journalists on Sunday (19/10/2025). Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT Charles believes that the KPK employees fired via TWK was a political act of the past. So, he said, the present government should improve it. “So it is time for the current government to make corrections if there are mistakes and we know that what they did was clearly a political action at the time to weaken the Corruption Eradication Commission and eradicate corruption,” he explained. According to Charles, President Prabowo Subianto has no problems regarding the KPK TWK. So, he said, the mistakes of the previous government should be corrected by the current government. “And he also has no past liabilities or past sins related to the KPK TWK. It is natural that if the government made mistakes in the past, the current government would correct them,” he said. “This is the essence of a rule of law and democracy. That every mistake must be rectified. Jokowi also did the same thing with Prabowo by giving him the title of honorary general, which means there is rehabilitation from the state for the person he is considered to have committed against human rights violations in the past,” he said. Charles hopes that the rights of former KPK employees who failed the KPK will be restored. Because according to him, the 57 former KPK employees were treated unfairly. “In my opinion, the restoration of the rights of KPK employees who were treated unfairly in the past should be carried out by the current government so that their human rights as victims can be restored,” he said. It is learned that the chairman of the IM57+ Institute, Lakso Anindito, said he has filed a lawsuit with the Public Information Commission (PIC) demanding that the TWK results be made public. He said all former employees had one vote. “All are one (vote). Return to the Corruption Eradication Commission as a form of rights restoration,” chairman of the IM57+ Institute, Lakso Anindito, said when asked on Tuesday (14/10). They consider the TWK results in 2020 as opaque because they are not open. TWK is a test that the KPK implemented in 2020 for all its employees. This test is a requirement when KPK employees will change their status to ASN. A total of 57 KPK employees were then declared to have failed the test and formed a forum at the IM57+ Institute. Regarding this desire, the IM 57+ Institute also asked President Prabowo Subianto to take a firm stand. He believes this is a good momentum for Prabowo to show his commitment to strengthening the KPK. “This is a good momentum for President Prabowo Subianto to show his commitment to strengthening the KPK by returning the rights of 57 KPK employees to the KPK. This issue has been a protracted issue without clarity even though there were recommendations from Komnas HAM and the Ombudsman,” explains Lakso. The Corruption Eradication Commission also responded to the wishes of 57 former employees. The KPK respects and awaits the process of requesting information dispute resolution from KIP. (lir/dhn)
