The need to improve political party in the highlight of lectures
The 10th Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Lecture was held at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (Iias), Shimla, in which scientists, researchers, academics and dignitaries enthusiastically participated. Dr Vinay Prabhakar Sahasrabuddhe, former president of the Indian Cultural Relations Council (ICCR), New -Delhi, delivered the most important speech as main gas. Dr. Sahasrabuddhe spoke on the topic of “political party reform for effective democratic regarding”, and presented a critical analysis of contemporary democratic practices. He emphasized that effective democratic rule depends a lot on the strength, ideological clarity and transparency of political parties. He emphasized the weakened ideological basis, theoretical ambiguity and the commercialization of election politics, and asked for immediate structural reforms within the parties. This includes promoting internal democracy, limiting defects and ensuring wide election reforms to strengthen democratic institutions. The program was started with a welcome speech by Iias director professor Raghavendra p Tiwari. Iias president, Professor Shashi Prabha Kumar, underlined the importance of the memorial lecture in the current political context.
