His wife Draupadi Aghori, who hails from West Bengal, lived with him in the ashram. Forensic team investigating, police arrested two suspects. According to priestess Draupadi, some unknown miscreants entered the ashram at around 12 o’clock in the night and started fighting with Baba and started beating him. When wife Draupadi tried to intervene, the miscreants fled from the spot. After this the couple somehow tried to spend the night and slept. But at around 3 o’clock in the night, the same miscreants again returned to the ashram and attacked the sleeping Baba Mohan Nath Aghori with a sharp weapon. Before Baba could understand anything, the miscreants attacked him several times and killed him on the spot. Baba’s wife continued to scream during the attack. The attackers fled after the incident. The police reached the spot yesterday morning after receiving information. The forensic team collected evidence from the spot and the body was sent for postmortem. Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Sinha also conducted spot inspection of the incident site and directed the local police to disclose the incident as soon as possible. The police detained two suspect persons in the preliminary investigation, whose questioning is ongoing. The police are investigating the reasons behind the incident.
