Rahul Gandhi's charge of the Electoral Commission, Commission sought affidavit
Senior leader of the congress and the opposition of the country leader, Rahul Gandhi, again accused the Electoral Commission of disturbing elections. After his allegations, the Electoral Commission responded strongly and asked Rahul Gandhi to give an affidavit about his allegations. The Electoral Commission mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s allegations as serious and said that if he had concrete testimony of these allegations, it could only be disputed in the Supreme Court. The commission took the issue seriously and demanded Rahul Gandhi to submit the necessary documents to support the allegations, with an affidavit. Rahul Gandhi questioned the Electoral Commission allegedly alleged of alleged disorders in the recent election. He said it became necessary to question the fairness of the commission, because the most important process of democracy, transparency and honesty in elections is needed. In response to the allegations of Rahul Gandhi, the Electoral Commission said that the commission is completely independent and acts strictly against any disturbance in the election process. The commission also said that if someone is suspected of disorder in the election process, it can complain to the Supreme Court, not that it should be disputed by accusing public forums. Rahul Gandhi’s allegations and the answer of the Electoral Commission created a new controversy in politics, which increased the possibility of conflict between the opposition and the election commission in the upcoming election.
