Bridge to Sosadhary River, which has been incomplete for 38 years, even in danger of the lives of residents today

The construction of a permanent bridge over the Sosadhar River connecting the Amadabad, Pranpur and Manihari blocks of the district has been incomplete for the past 38 years. The residents are still forced to live their everyday lives using a dilapidated chaChari bridge of bamboo. Not only is this situation inconvenient, but people risk their lives every day. This route is considered a lifeline for the large population of the three blocks. Smooth roads were built on both sides of the river, but in the absence of permanent bridge across the river, traffic became very difficult. Whether it goes to school or patients who go to hospital, everyone has to cross the river by placing his life on his palm. Local people say that the promise of building a bridge is made in each election, but that the promise becomes air as soon as the election passes. On the past few decades, only the insurance has been received, but so far no concrete work has been done on the ground. The silence and apathy of the public representatives and administrative officials talking about the development kept this area away from the development. The residents demand that a permanent bridge be built here as soon as possible, so that they can also live a safe and reverent life. Share this story -tags
