Rajasthan University gun worship controversy, know in exclusive footage Supreme Court grants bail to three accused including Vinod Jakhar

The Rajasthan High Court has granted bail to NSUI state president Vinod Jakhar and his associates Kishore Chaudhary and Kamal Chaudhary, who were arrested for creating ruckus during the Shastra Pujan program of RSS in Rajasthan University. Earlier, the trial court and ADJ court rejected his bail. After the bail application was filed in the High Court, all three accused got relief and Jakhar will come out of jail after about 17 days. After getting bail, Vinod Jakhar while talking to the media said that this case was registered with political malice and he was implicated in false allegations. Jakhar said, “We opposed the program organized at the Temple of Education in a Gandhian manner for political purposes. Our intention was not to create any kind of violence or ruckus.” This case was registered against Vinod Jakhar and his associates regarding the situation that arose during the Shastra Pujan program of RSS in the university campus. He is alleged to have created a riot and breached discipline during the programme. However, Jakhar and other accused say that their protest was conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner. It is clear from the bail order of the High Court that the court has given importance to the arguments in favor of the accused and now considers the need to keep them in jail as less. The court also said in its order that the accused who are released on bail will henceforth have to follow the conditions set by the court. Political experts believe that this case has raised questions about the balance between political activities and student politics on university campuses. In addition, this case also shows that student organizations can use peaceful and democratic means to express their point of view and protest. NSUI leaders welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision and called it a just decision. The organization says this decision is important from the point of view of protecting student politics and democratic rights. It is worth noting that in cases of such controversial programs and protests on the university campus, it is necessary to follow the judicial process. The incident has alerted both the student body and the university administration that it will be mandatory to ensure discipline and security during such events henceforth. After being granted bail, supporters of Vinod Jakhar and other accused said that they will continue their political work peacefully and will stay away from any form of violence. This case also made it clear that the judiciary plays an active role in protecting the rights of student leaders as well as maintaining law and order. Share this story Tags
