Rajnath Singh’s great warning to Pakistan against aggressive approach to Sir Creek – “a response that will change …”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh warned Pakistan on Thursday against any aggression against the Sir Creek region, saying that such a move with a ‘resounding reaction’ would be that could change “history and geography”. The Minister of Defense made the remarks at a military base near the Border City Bhuj in Gujarat, while celebrating Dussehra with soldiers and carried out “Shastra Puja” (worship of weapons) during the event. Singh also said that the Indian army successfully reached all the goals of Operation Sindoor and started a war with Pakistan by increasing the situation was not its purpose. “Any aggression by Pakistan in the Sir Creek area will get a resounding reaction that will change history and geography,” Singh said, referring to the recent expansion of Pakistani military infrastructure in areas adjacent to Sir Creek -a strategic and sensitive zone along the Gujarat coastline. “In the 1965 war, the Indian army showed the ability to reach Lahore. Today in 2025 Pakistan must remember that one route to Karachi is going through the creek,” he said. Sir Creek is a 96 km tidal river estuary between Gujarat’s Rann van Kutch and Pakistan. It is considered a disputed region due to different interpretations of maritime boundary lines through the two sides. “Despite 78 years of independence, the border dispute in the Sir Creek area continues. India has repeatedly tried to resolve this issue through dialogue, but Pakistan’s intentions are flawed and unclear,” Singh said. “The recent expansion of his (Pakistan) military infrastructure in the areas next to Sir Creek reveals his intentions,” he said that the Indian army and the border safety force guard the borders of India. At Operation Sindoor, Singh said India’s fight against border border terrorism will continue. The minister said Pakistan made an unsuccessful attempt during the operation to penetrate the defense system of India, but the Indian army “exposed the Pakistani air defense device” and sent a message to the world that it could cause the adversary to great losses. “During Operation Sindoor, Pakistan made an unsuccessful attempt to penetrate India’s defense system from Leh to Sir Creek,” he said. “In retaliation, however, the Indian forces have completely exposed the Pakistani air defense system and sent a message to the world that Indian forces could cause Pakistan when and wherever they want,” he said. In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting the terrorist infrastructure in the areas controlled by Pakistan. The strikes caused four days of intense collisions that ended on May 10 with an understanding of the stop of military action. The Minister of Defense has confirmed the government’s commitment to ensure greater joint among the three services. “It was the joint of our armed forces that performed Operation Sindoor in record time. On this occasion, I also want to expand special congratulations to our brave soldiers and officers today for the success of Operation Sindoor,” Singh said. The Minister of Defense described the army, the Air Force and the Navy as “three pillars” of India’s strength. “If these three services work together, we can face every challenge first,” he said. Singh has been conducting ‘Shastra Puja’ for the past few years, including his term of office as Home Secretary in the previous NDA government. (With agency input)
