Rajsamand BJP MLA Deepti Maheshwari's car accident, severe injuries to ribs

Rajsamand’s BJP MLA Deepti Maheshwari’s car met in an accident. This accident happened late last night near Delwara (Rajsamand). Along with the MLA, his gunman and driver were also wounded. All three injured are being treated at Gitanjali Hospital, Udaipur. MLA Maheshwari sustained serious injuries to his ribs. According to reports, she was on her way to Udaipur to attend a political function when the accident occurred while crossing the highway tunnel at Delwara. The car came from the opposite direction. The accident took place on the Udaipur-Rajsamand National Highway in front of the Amarkhaji Temple, near a cut on the road leading to Chirwa Tunnel. The train with Gujarat registration number was traveling from Udaipur to Nathdwara. His driver took a U-turn on the cut and collided with the car of MLA Deepti Kiran Maheshwari going from Rajsamand. MLA went to attend Ganesh Utsav. Sukher police station in-charge Ravindra Singh said the MLA was on his way from Rajsamand to Udaipur around 12.45 pm on Friday night, when his car collided with a vehicle coming from the wrong side and overturned on the side of the road. The MLA had earlier attended the Bhajan Sandhya organized by the Municipal Council at Arvind Stadium in Rajsamand as part of Ganesh Utsav. He is currently in ICU. Deepti’s father Satyanarayan Maheshwari said that Deepti’s PA Jai and driver Dharmendra were in the car with her. Jai sustained head injuries and Dharmendra was also injured. Share this story Tags
