Rakernas title, Nasdem is aimed at the top 3 in the 2029 election

Jakarta -The Nasdem Party is aimed at the top three in the 2029 election. Chairman of the Nasdem Party DPP and chairman of the House of Representatives Commission II, Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, said his party performed various consolidations to realize the target. The target was discussed during the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) I of the Nasdem party, held on Saturday (9/8/2025) in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. Rifqinizamy said his party would also continue to strengthen the pillars of the party. “We consolidate the organization of the structure of the DPP, DPW, DPD to the lowest level. We also strengthen the pillars of the party, namely the strength in the legislature and the executive, to increase the power of election connections,” Rifqinizamy said. Browse to continue the content, he said the targeted election win is not limited to numbers. However, he said, it must also be based on the ideological spirit of the party. “To win the election, the Nasdem party not only strives for the victory of the numbers, but must be filled with the spirit of recovery ideology. The path to victory must be true and go with the people,” he said. On the same occasion, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, executive director of Indonesian political indicators, explained a number of election challenges that Nasdem needed to expect whether he wanted to reach the top three targets in the 2029 elections. According to him, Nasdem was one of the parties who experienced a constant increase in votes in the last three elections. “The Nasdem party has had a tendency to increase the voting increases since it first participated in the 2014 election. But it is also very dependent on the open proportional system because it allows the party to carry popular candidates,” he said. He then reminded that the election system could be a closed proportional in the future. This, he said, could be a serious challenge for Nasdem. Furthermore, Burhanuddin also highlighted the power of Nasdem’s voice distribution that is still concentrated in urban areas, outside Java and the middle class. He was of the opinion that it was still not ideal for the extent of the national victory. “Nasdem must expand the support base in Java, the target of the lower middle -class voters and reach the younger generation. At the moment, 56 percent of voters are coming from the young segment, and will be even bigger in 2029,” he explained. (AMW/LIR)
