Ram sits in every house of the south, not just in Northern India: Nirmala Sitharaman
Ayodhya, October 8 (IANS). Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, along with chief minister Yogi Adityanath, unveiled the major statues of three major music saints of South India, Shatyagaraja SwaMigal, Purandaradas and the Arunachal poet during the historic ceremony held at the Holy Jupiter Kund in Ayodhya on Wednesday. On this occasion, the address of Nirmala Sitharaman was filled with emotions and dedication. He said that Shri Ram’s dedication in South India is not only faith, but also an integral part of life. Nirmala Sitharaman said in her speech that the details explained by Yogi Adityanath, chief minister, about the saints of South India is incredible. He said that there was no linguistic discrimination in South India earlier, Karnataka music was sung in all languages, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Sanskrit, which symbolize unity. The Finance Minister said Tyagraj Swamy gave the highest place to Shri Ram Bhakti, even while living in poverty all his life. He refused to sing songs in Raja’s credit and only sang songs for Shri Ram. His dedication was such that the energy of Shri Ram flowed into every song. People say that Hanuman Ji may have been born as Tyagaraja. He said that Tyagraj funga’s song ‘Sita Kalyan’ is sung during every wedding ceremony in South India. He said that the same songs were sung during my daughter’s wedding. Nirmala Sitharaman said that Rambhakti is not only from Hindi -speaking areas, but even today in Kerala, Lord Shri Ram is worshiped by relieving a lamp in every house in the entire Singh month (Ashada). Ramayana is read throughout the month. It is not a tangible form, but a tradition of abstract commitment. This is the true soul of our country. He gives the example of Tamil poet Arunachal poet and said he expressed deep respect for Mother Sita in his famous Tamil poetry Ramnatakam. He said, look at Sita Mata with one lakh eyes, no one beautiful with him. Nirmala Sitharaman said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also traveled to temples related to Sri Ram of South India before the inauguration of Ram Janmabhoomi. He went to the Srirangam Temple, where Kamb Ramayana was compiled. Not only that, Arunachal poet was also ordered by Shri Ram in a dream to present Ramnatakam in Srirangam. The Minister of Finance said that not only male saints in the South India, but also a woman of a Potter community, also set an example of dedication by writing Mollaramanam in Telugu. ‘Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayales sang the glory of Shri Ram in every language. This is the soul of India. Sitharaman said it is very holy today. The idols of saints who had “ram” in every breath were possible to find a place in Ayodhya, not only by yoga, but also with the will of Shri Ram. This is a wonderful example of devotional unity between North and South India.
