US Vice President, Trade Agreement and World Issues will be prominent agenda on Monday
New -Delhi, April 20 (IANS). US Vice President JD Vance arrives on a four -day visit to India on Monday. The main focus of this tour is to review the Indo-American trade agreement, strengthen bilateral relations and review the implementation of the Indo-US-joint statement released in February. Together with Vance, his Indian wife Ushha Chilukuri and three of his children also come to India. This trip is special, as no existing US Vice President has visited India over the past decade. Earlier in 2013, in February 2013, the then Vice President and later became president who came to Biden India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host Vice President Vance on Monday night in his official home at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. In this meeting, together with the discussion of the Indo-American Trade Agreement, methods to deepen strategic and economic relations between the two democratic countries will be considered. National Security Advisor Ajit Deval and Foreign Minister Sk Jaishankar will also be present. Together with Vance, a five -member delegation, including representatives of the Pentagon and the State Department, also came to India. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The journey will give the two countries the opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations and to discuss the status of the implementation of the joint statement issued during the Premier’s visit to the US on February 13. Both sides will also discuss regional and global issues.” On April 21, Vance goes to Jaipur and will remain there until April 24. On the morning of April 22, he visited the famous Amer Mahal with his family. There he receives Rajasthani traditional reception, in which he will carry Jodhpuri Safa and enjoy folk dances, puppet programs, traditional dress and local cuisine. The palace will remain closed for ordinary people and 12 trained guides will be deployed in their service. On the same day, Vance will address the US-India Business Summit at the Rajasthan International Center. This will include top officials from India and America. During this time, he will share his vision to increase business and investment. On April 23, he goes to Agra and looks at the Taj Mahal. After staying there for about three hours, he will return to Jaipur and also see the city palace. On April 22, he also met the chief minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Governor Haribhau Bagde.
