The Emmy Awards Honored the 40th Anniversary of the Launch of the Iconic Comedy Series the Girls on Sunday, with Reba Mcentire and Little Big Duo Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman Performing the Theme Song.

The song is “thank you for being a friend,” original Written by Andrew Gold, which was performermed by Cynthia Fee at the Start of the Classic Sitcom, Which Ran for Seven, from 1985-1992, on nbc.
