At that event, Gus Fawait emphasized that the Jember Regency Government (Pemkab) gives the biggest athlete bonuses in East Java, as a form of appreciation for their struggle to make the region proud. “For gold medal winners, we give IDR 50 million, plus educational scholarships. Silver IDR 20 million, and bronze IDR 10 million,” Gus Fawait emphasized. “We want to ensure that appreciation for the struggle of Jember athletes is no less great than other regions,” he continued. According to Gus Fawait, this step is a form of government support for the future of Jember’s young generation – not only as athletes, but also as educated people who are ready to compete in the future. Gus Fawait also emphasized that the award was part of the great enthusiasm to realize the vision of Jember Baru, Jember Maju, also in the field of sports. Gus Fawait said that the provision of bonuses and bursaries is not just an award but an encouragement to promote fighting spirit and regional pride. “We want to build a new spirit.
