Rejuvenation of slums is needed, expansion of basic facilities: cm yogi

Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, gave the officials clear instructions during the revision of the development works of the cities at the high -level meeting of the Department of Urban Development. CM Yogi said development work should be done in a planned and coordinated way. At the meeting, CM Yogi said that there are unnecessary delay in the schemes by various works by different works. Therefore, all the departments must collectively prepare a shared action plan and implement it in time. The main minister particularly emphasized the development of slums that basic facilities such as cleanliness, drinking water supply, drainage, road connection and street lights must be assured here. There is a need to further strengthen the drainage system. There must be a system of such a drain in each city, so that the reconciliation does not arise after heavy rain. He instructed officials to improve the improvement of the drainage system and regular monitoring of new arrangements, so that the citizens did not have to experience any discomfort during the rain. CM Yogi, in particular, said emphasis on the development of slums that basic facilities such as cleanliness, drinking water supply, drainage, road connection, garbage collection and street lights must be ensured here. He gave clear instructions that the responsibility of the development of these settlements should not be given to the contractors, but that the municipal bodies should take responsibility for it and monitor it from time to time. The chief minister said that the construction of more and more community toilets on slums and public places should be assured. It should be borne in mind that regular cleanliness must be provided in these community toilets. The chief minister said that basic facilities should soon be assured in new towns related to municipal bodies, so that people do not have any problems. The chief minister also said that in the event of negligence, liability of the responsible officials will be corrected. For the development of the Smart City, the chief minister ordered that the Smart City schemes should be prepared in such a way that the overall development of the city will be done and also ensures the increase in revenue. Below, the main minister said that projects such as shopping malls, multi -level parking, restaurant and auditorium should be developed on PPP models in cities. He gives hygiene’s top priority and emphasis on regular lifting and disposing of the removal of his disposal, as well as launching regular awareness campaigns to separate solid and wet waste. CM Yogi provided strict instructions to stop the colonies and settlements that develop without standard and municipal bodies at the initial level. He said effective steps should be taken to prevent such unauthorized activities so that the planned structure of cities remains.
