Repeated attacks on our leaders and supporters in Tripura will not be tolerated: TMAC

Agartala, October 9 (IANS). A delegation from the Trinamol Congress (TMC) of six members, including three MPs from West Bengal and a state minister, met on Thursday officials at the Raj Bhavan in Agartala. During this, he filed a memorandum demanding strict legal action against those responsible for the recent vandalism at the state’s headquarters. Led by the Minister of the State of Western Bush and Consumer Affairs Birbaha Hansda, the delegation included MPs Sushita Dev, Sayoni Ghosh and Pratima Mandal with TMC spokesman Kunal Ghosh and youth leader Sudip Raha. The team had earlier filed a zero fir at the NCC police station in connection with the alleged attack on the TMC office by BJP supporters. The Governor of the team, N. Indrasena Reddy, could not meet Nallu, but she submitted her memorandum to his secretary UK Chakma. TMC leader Kunal Ghosh addressed the media after submitting the memorandum, repeating the party’s claim for immediate legal action. “We want justice. If the government is not acting, TMC will launch a state -of -the -art political excitement. Repeated attacks on our leaders and supporters in Tripura will not be tolerated,” he said. Ghosh has accused the BJP-led Tripura government led by chief minister Dr Manik Saha of “launching” several welfare schemes launched by West Banner Minister Mamata Banerjee and claiming that the management of the state government does not have originality. “When CPI (m) was in power, their work was different. In Bengal, they became the BJP B team, no longer ‘comrades’,” Ghosh said. Earlier on Wednesday, the Trinamole Congress delegation met the Trinamool Congress delegation in the police headquarters in Agartala. During this time, the TMC delegation complained about the vandalism allegedly done by BJP supporters at the Trinamol Congress Office in Agartala.
