Repeatedly rejected the marriage proposal due to Kashmir post: mother of martyr Sujoy Ghosh

Birbhum, October 11 (IANS). “The marriage will only happen after Kashmir posting has ended.” That was the answer of Martyred Army -Soldier Sujoy Ghosh, when a marriage proposal came from home. Perhaps he himself did not expect him to return safely from Kashmir. That’s why he didn’t want to hurt any girl. That was why Sujoy of Kundira Village of Bhawanipur Gram Panchayat of Rajagar Block continues to refuse marriage proposals. Sujoy was supposed to return home in four days, but no one knew he would return on the army’s shoulders. When the body of martyr Sujoy reached the village on Saturday afternoon, a large number of people with tears in their eyes and pride came to visit him. Sujoy Ghosh comes from a marginal farmer family. He was the oldest among three brothers. His parents are at home. He joined the Army about seven years ago and was currently an Elite Para commando. A few days ago, Sujoy went on a special expedition to the Gadol forests of the Anant night district in South Kashmir. He was accompanied by another Para commando, but lost contact with them because of the heavy snowstorm. Later on Thursday and Friday, the bodies of both the elite commandos were recovered from the woods. Sujoy’s older brother Mityunjay Ghosh received a call on Friday afternoon and was informed by the army officials about the martyrdom of Sujoy. Once the news spread, the whole town went raw. Nevertheless, Father Radha Shyam Ghosh proudly expressed the martyrdom of his son. He said the boy gave his life to the country. There is sad and also proud. But Sujoy was the only earner of the house, what will we do now? Mother Namita Ghosh said that on the day of Lakshmi Puja I spoke to my older son. He said there was no holiday yet. Although he said he would come home during Kali Puja, he did not return home. Now I don’t know how the family will work. Once the mortal remains of martyr Sujoy Ghosh reached the village, a crowd of people gathered. Birbhum District Council’s President Faizul Haq alias Kajal Shaikh, Siuri meeting constituency Mla Vikas Roy Chowdhury and BJP’s Birbhum organization president Dhruv Saha were also present. Everyone paid their last respect by paying tributes to flowers. –Is Pim/DSC Share this Story Tags
