Defamatory case against the narrator Devaki Nandan Thakur, the Agra Court has issued notice
Agra, June 28 (IANS). The famous narrator Devaki Nandan Thakur’s problems increased. A defamation case is registered against him. ACJM-10 Court of Agra issued him a notice that he appeared in court on July 9. The defamation case brought against Devaki Nandan Thakur is related to a story that told him in Varanasi. During a legend held on December 2, 2024 at the Sancrit University of Sampurnanand in Varanasi, Devkinandan Thakur convicted the ‘Jayachando’ for the division of India and the slaughter of Kashmiri Brahmins. Devaki Nandan said Sanatan Dharma was at risk because of Jayachand and because of them Pakistan was created. Advocate Ajay Pratap Singh filed a criminal defamation charge against him in the Court of Civil Judge (Junior Division) of Agra, describing this statement of the famous narrator. The lawyer said there was no historical evidence to call Jayachand king of Kannaauj, a traitor. He claims that this statement from Thakur is derogatory for the Kshatriya society and it has harmed his feelings. It was also mentioned in the complaint that the genocide of the division of India and Kashmiri Brahmins was a religion based and that it is wrong to blame Jaichand for this. In this case, Devaki Nandan Thakur was also asked to appear in court earlier, but due to his absence, the ACJM-10 court now issued a notice and ordered him to appear in court on July 9. This is not the first time that Devkinandan Nandan Thakur has been engulfed in controversy because of his statements. Even before that, he was in controversy because of the comments on the Population Control and the Waqf Council. Recently, he also demanded strict action from the Central Government and the Supreme Court on the issue of adultery in the offers of the Tirupati Balaji Temple. -Ians bag/DSC shares this story tags
