The rain did great damage on Monday night, which affected a large substation of 33 kV, 170 transformer and eight kilometer high -voltage (HT) lines and 9.5 km long lotions (LT) lines. Santosh Kumar Sharma, superintendent engineer at Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board, Dharampur, while giving details about the efforts to repair the power supply, said the department’s technical teams worked all the time to restore electricity in the affected areas. According to Sharma, 167 out of the 170 transformers who were damaged were resumed. In addition, the HT and LT lines in question are also switched on. Sharma confirmed: “Most of the power supply in the area has now been restored.” He said: “Currently, there are only three water supply schemes pending, where the recovery of power supply is underway, so that the water power department can begin for the comfort of the area as soon as possible. We hope it will be completely in effect soon.” The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board also thanked the residents of Dharampur for patience and cooperation during the crisis.
