Leh, October 9 (IANS). After three weeks of restrictions in Leh in the Union area of Ladakh, the administration restored internet services on Thursday and all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, are now running smoothly. In addition, public transport and other civil activities were also started. Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta called on the restoration of peace and order in the Union area after chairing a high-level security assessment meeting. He appreciated the collective efforts of the civil and police administration, security forces and residents of Ladakh in maintaining this peaceful environment. The Lieutenant -Governor said: “The spirit of cooperation of the citizens played an important role in quickly restoring the normality in the entire region. It is a clear reflection of the faith of the people in the dedication of the administration to ensure safety, stability and inclusive growth.” Kavinder Gupta, who greets the patriotic spirit of the people of Ladakh, said: “Ladakh is home to the most patriotic citizens of our country, who have always stood shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the country to protect national interests.” He called on all parts of society to work with new energy for the development and prosperity of Ladakh. With the repetition of the administration’s dedication, he ensured fair development in all sectors such as education, health, infrastructure and employment, with special focus on youth empowerment and sustainable tourism. Kavinder Gupta has requested the citizens to remain vigilant, continue to work together in the maintenance of law and order and actively participate in development initiatives for the prosperous future of the region. The Lieutenant -Governor instructed the officers to remain vigilant and maintain coordination among themselves to maintain a peaceful environment and ensure uninterrupted public comfort.
