Sourav Ganguly can be selected for the post of CAB president unopposed

Kolkata, September 14 (IANS). Former Indian cricket team captain and former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly filed his nomination for the position of President of Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) on Sunday. The nomination comes a day after Ganguly was nominated to represent the BCCI election and the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Mumbai headquarters on September 28. Ganguly is the only person to submit nominations for this top post, and he can therefore be elected unopposed in the election held on September 22. If Ganguly is elected, he will replace his brother Snehashish, who has been in this top position for almost three years. Ganguly said in a post about CAB Instagram account: ‘I want to thank everyone for their support. There is no opposition in the taxi. I will try. ‘ Ganguly used to be the president of CAB from 2015 to 2019. But after being elected President of the BCCI, he had to leave the post of the president in 2019. He held this position until 2022. Former Indian Indian All -Roger Roger becomes the BCCI president. Apart from Ganguly, Nitish Ranjan Dutta, Bablu Koli, Madan Mohan Ghosh and Sanjay Das also submitted nominations for the posts of Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer. Ganguly said: “Bablu Koli is very experienced. It is necessary to have a person with experience and knowledge. Nitish Ranjan Dutta, Madan Mohan Ghosh and Sanjay Das are also experienced and have been in this field for a long time.
