The floods caused by a sudden cloud burst at the big stop of Gangotri Dham on Tuesday caused a devastation. About one and a half in the afternoon spread debris around the Keer Ganga River. 15 to 20 hotels and homes were damaged in the Dharali area due to flooding. According to the local administration and disaster control room, the death of five people in this disaster was confirmed. Most people who were hit by disaster were locals and tourists. According to the meteorological department, the area receives heavy rain, which makes the rescue operation even more difficult. Many roads have also been blocked by floodwaters, and the communication network has been influenced, which makes it difficult to fully assess the situation. The administration has deployed NDRF (National Disaster Relief Force) teams in the affected disaster, and helicopter services are also used to bring people in the area to safe places. The pilgrims who come to the religious field are moved to safe places, and the travel route is currently closed.
